Starting a journey into data science was not a straightforward path for me. Coming from a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, I had always been fascinated by technology. This curiosity led me to explore various technological courses, despite having little background knowledge.
It all began with Python. I chose this programming language after hearing about it from some of my computer science friends. This decision led me to enroll in a Full Stack Data Science Boot Camp, where I anticipated only learning programming. However, the boot camp offered a combination of live sessions for both full-stack development and data science students. At the end of these sessions, we were asked to choose between Full Stack Web Development or Full Stack Data Science and Machine Learning.
My choice was driven by curiosity and a bit of misconception. I associated “Machine Learning” with the machines I had studied in mechanical engineering. So, I decided to dive into Data Science and Machine Learning, thinking it would align with my conceptual understanding of machines. Gradually, I delved deeper into the subject, progressing step by step.
Now, I am at a pivotal point in my journey. I’ve started reading eBooks on data science to deepen my knowledge further. The choice of eBooks over physical books was primarily due to cost; physical books in this field are quite expensive. Thankfully, I found a treasure trove of resources on pdfdrive.com, where I could download the necessary eBooks.
You can explore pdfdrive website from clicking Here.
With this foundation, I’m excited to share my upcoming learning plans and the next steps in my data science journey.
Books To Decide to Read In Upcoming:
- Hands-On Machine Learning with Scikit-Learn, Keras, and TensorFlow — 2nd Edition by Aurelien Geron
- Python for Data Analysis — Data Wrangling with Pandas, NumPy, and Jupyter — 3rd edition
- Data Science from Scratch: First Principles with Python
- Machine Learning: An Algorithmic Perspective — 2nd Edition
- Artificial Intelligence: A Modern Approach By Stuart J Russell and Peter Norvig — 3rd edition
I decide to learn and I will also stay updated with my journey by writing weekly blogs on this learning journey.
